Armenian and Turkish officials met in Kars, Türkiye to announce the formation of a joint working group to renovate the Kars-Gyumri Railroad, a vital trade and transit connection that brought the region together for more than a century before the last train crossed the Türkiye-Armenia border in July 1993. This progress reflects the vision advanced by the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity and the historic August 8 White House peace summit hosted by @POTUS. I applaud Türkiye and Armenia's recent steps toward reconnecting their economies and peoples. A new South Caucasus - interconnected and at peace - is taking form, aligned with President Trump's commitment to stability and prosperity in the region.
