This guy reached out to me in January, to work with him in getting a new job in Procurement.
He’d worked for many years in a very big global procurement company back in Nigeria, but has struggled in the UK. In addition to his experience, he also completed a Masters degree in Supply Chain, which qualifies him as Level 7 in CIPS.
We started working together in February. I crafted a new CV, showed him few things in the market. Our first interview came same month, we prepared together, but he didn’t get the role.
Lots of ups and downs, I kept bombarding him with different applications, and he was very active, always carried me along.
Finally, he’s gotten something worthy of his experience. They just emailed him back today. At least a good start in the Civil Service after the struggles of working in a warehouse.
I have many of such folks, but for this particular guy, I’m so so happy, because of the amount of work he also puts in, and these are the kinds of people I love to work with.
