This week, we dedicated the Kate Marmion School of Public Health, a $30 million investment in the future of South Texas health.
Named after Kate Marmion through the generosity of the Kate Marmion Charitable Foundation, the school is tackling rural healthcare access, training the next generation of professionals and researching solutions for our region's greatest health challenges.
President Taylor Eighmy, Dr. Francisco Cigarroa, Founding Dean Vasan Ramachandran, Foundation President Dolph Briscoe IV, the school's inaugural graduating class, and friends and supporters gathered to celebrate this special milestone, marking a pivotal step forward in the university’s commitment to improving health outcomes across the state.
