Utah HB 29 passed 52-18 Wednesday. This bill is slightly better than the proposed one, weakening the statewide ban a bit, but not nearly enough. It goes to Gov. Spencer Cox now. Call and demand a veto, follow @LetUtahRead and attend the read-in at the state capitol 2/22

I've been sitting with the news that Scholastic is self-censoring their Book Fairs since Tuesday. On Thursday I was invited to speak at a Scholastic Graphix party, and this is what I said. It's an earnest plea for the company with whom I have made so many books to do better.
