Well when you put it like that. This is a historic foreign policy blunder. Don’t forget - Iran supreme leader is younger and Iran hates us more than ever.
Reading what a traitor I am in my comments. So, JUST TO BE FAIR..... let me get this straight..... We taxpayers just blew $75 billion to attack Iran, UNPROVOKED, then dropped another $300 billion to REBUILD it, even though it didn't NEED rebuilding before we ATTACKED it, (unprovoked) all so we could "reopen" a Strait of Hormuz that was already OPEN before we ATTACKED Iran (unprovoked), wind up with $4 gas for NO REASON and I'M the bitch for pointing it OUT? That's fair. Sounds legit. 👌

Nate Cohn made an article on Democrats’ best Senate pickup opportunities and included this cool graphic comparing the 2026 baseline, past candidate overperformance, and polling. From this: - Cooper, Brown, and Peltola are clearly strong recruits who made their races viable flips - Collins still faces an uphill climb despite Platner's recent scandals - Paxton Hispanic reversion has made Texas genuinely competitive, regardless of Talarico's past comments - Iowa remains more of a reach, but could get interesting

Say what? We got bent over
BREAKING: US officials have now confirmed in a briefing that Iran will get full access to a total of $100 billion in frozen funds and the $300 billion reconstruction fund, both included in the deal with implementation now underway, per WSJ. More than $150 billion of the fund has already been committed, directly contradicting Trump's claims that the US would not contribute to the $300 billion fund, per Reuters.

The leaked Iran deal that is floating around suggests that this is a pretty simple transaction: we are paying Iran billions to reopen the Strait. Period. Stop. That's probably why they are refusing to release it.

Trump had Elon Musk and DOGE cut programs overseeing screwworm outbreaks to save a couple million dollars. Now, it will cost a BILLION dollars to combat the new outbreak. So much for government efficiency.
The Trump administration has announced they'll need to spend an estimated $1 billion to combat the New World Screwworm.

Yup.
If they’re spinning the Iran deal without showing any text, pretty good sign it’s worse than Obama’s Iran Nuclear Deal.

Gentle reminder. If this deal with Iran was awesome - the text would already be out.

So a nothing burger so far.
Reaching a nuclear deal - an actual deal, not the prolonged ceasefire announed today - will be extremely hard: -both sides perceive they have the upper hand and will be intransigent -Trump will be extremely reluctant to agree to a deal that looks like the 2015 JCPOA under Obama - and yet, Iran will be very reluctant to go further -Iran views this as an existential issue - it will be patient and exploit Trump's impatience and lack of attention to detail -no, the Strait of Hormuz will not fully reopen: it will be slow and gradual as insecurity continues and supply chains are strained -and the Iranian threat on Hormuz remains permanently; there is no return to the pre-war status quo -...and in any case, it won't happen in 60 days -...and as it goes on, the baseline of tension will remain high; inevitably, there will be spikes of violence (inlcuding between Israel and Hezbollah). For now, both will keep a mutual interest to deescalate - but for how long?

The Strait of Hormuz was open before Trump's war, so he cannot claim its reopening as a war "victory." Illogical.
