Headed back to Washington after a brief but very productive visit to Seoul. Our initial discussions on U.S.-ROK nuclear cooperation were a success and set the stage for continued technical conversations.  As we open new areas of cooperation, we continue to push for progress on existing economic and security related issues. In my meetings with ROK officials, we underscored the need to remain in lock step as we navigate shifting global dynamics and challenges, from ensuring the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to strengthening critical supply chains and countering regional threats. We’ve set ambitious goals, but our alliance is up to the task!

During our meeting, @FMChoHyun and I reflected on the importance of preserving our vibrant democracies — especially relevant as today is election day in South Korea. We also discussed our partnership on regional and global issues ranging from the Middle East to the Indo-Pacific.

During my meeting with ROK NSA Wi, we discussed working closely to make progress on bilateral nuclear cooperation launched this week. We also covered a wide range of issues that underscored economic security is national security.

I appreciated ROK Third Vice Foreign Minister Jeong’s thoughtful insights and our exchange of views on Korean Peninsula issues. As allies, it is crucial to remain closely coordinated in our respective approaches and policies regarding the DPRK.

Pleased to launch U.S.-ROK working group discussions to advance bilateral nuclear cooperation initiatives as outlined by our two presidents last fall. On this occasion, I am reminded of our shared history and the many milestones across 70 years of our Alliance. I look forward to further deepening and modernizing our cooperation and expect continued progress across the bilateral relationship in the years to come.

Great first call with Nepal’s Foreign Minister Khanal today. We discussed how our countries can work together more on business and investment. Looking forward to staying in touch and building on our partnership.

I met with ROK First Vice Foreign Minister Park today to discuss a wide range of regional and global issues, and to advance our economic interests. I look forward to leading a delegation to Seoul in the coming weeks.

Great meeting with Argentina's National Security Minister @AleMonteoliva today to discuss our shared commitment to regional stability. Through our strong and growing security cooperation, the United States and Argentina are taking on the most prominent threats to our hemisphere – including transnational criminal organizations, drug trafficking, and illegal immigration – head on.

Just wrapped a productive Strategic Dialogue in Warsaw with @RKupiecki, @MSZ_RP and a great meeting with @marcin_przydacz, @prezydentpl. We are strengthening our defense partnership, expanding energy cooperation to boost U.S. industry, protecting critical tech infrastructure, and fostering economic growth for the American people. The U.S.-Poland relationship has never been stronger, and we look forward to Poland’s participation in the G20 Summit in Miami.

Productive day spent with the Arctic 7 here in D.C. as we discussed how to achieve our shared vision for the Arctic. Particularly enjoyed exchanging perspectives on how to encourage investment and advance American economic interests in the Arctic while protecting key sectors.

@UnderSecStateP: Great meeting today with @DutchMFA Political Director Marcel de Vink, who is here during the King and Queen’s visit to Washington. We discussed the situation in the Middle East and our ongoing cooperation in the Western Hemisphere.

Met with @VikramMisri Indian Foreign Secretary Misri to discuss how we can work closer together on security, defense, and the economy. We are finding practical ways to make both Americans and Indians safer and more prosperous, including through the Quad.

Appreciated meeting with Uzbekistan Ambassador Furqat Sidikov to discuss cooperation on combatting illegal immigration, enhancing commercial ties, and energy security.

Spoke today with Pakistan Foreign Secretary Baloch to express condolences for lives lost in the recent conflict between Pakistan and the Taliban. We continue to monitor the situation closely and expressed support for Pakistan’s right to defend itself against Taliban attacks.

Heading home from my first visit to Baku, where I had great meetings with @Bayramov_Jeyhun and @HikmetHajiyev on how we can move forward on @POTUS vision for peace and prosperity in the region. It was a privilege to kick off the U.S.-Azerbaijan Strategic Partnership Charter and to host the U.S. reception at #WTDC25 in honor of @ITUSecGen Doreen Bogdan-Martin. Doreen has an unmatched record in leading the @ITU and we are thrilled to support her candidacy for re-election.

What a great day in Yerevan following up on @POTUS's historic August peace summit. I had productive discussions with @NikolPashinyan, @AraratMirzoyan, @ArmenGrigoryanC, @VahanKostanyan, and @RubenRubinyan on strengthening the U.S.-Armenia strategic partnership. We launched the working groups to develop TRIPP, implement the U.S.-Armenia bilateral MOUs, and bring further peace and prosperity under @POTUS and @Nikolpashinyan's leadership. Now off to Baku!

I had focused discussions with our #Nordic and #Baltic Allies on advancing @POTUS priorities of peace, prosperity, and security in Europe. Together we are resolute partners with shared goals of ending the Russia-Ukraine war and raising ambitions for defense spending.

As @UnderSecStateP stated today, the United States is focused on results, not just statements. Under President Trump’s leadership, the United States will ensure America’s 2026 G20 presidency produces real economic outcomes that strengthen our economy and benefit the American people.
