The 🇺🇸🇫🇷🇩🇪🇬🇧 resolution passed at yesterday’s @iaeaorg Board of Governors meeting highlights the importance that Iran honor its safeguards obligations and commitments. As noted: “We underscore that we continue to seek a diplomatic solution to the longstanding  concerns posed by Iran’s nuclear program and we remain hopeful that such a solution will be found.  But any such solution will necessarily rest on the foundation of verification and monitoring that the Board has the responsibility to uphold, and no deal will be sustainable if Iran’s safeguards non-compliance is not also addressed." Proud to support @DoreenBogdan's reelection as ITU Secretary-General. She's delivered results and earned another term. Under her leadership, the ITU has advanced secure connectivity and pushed digital transformation forward — reaching communities that have long been left behind. We made that case to EU Member State Missions here in Brussels. The U.S. is also backing Jennifer Warren for the Radio Regulations Board and our own reelection to the ITU Council. The U.S. is committed to helping build a strong International Telecommunication Union that connects the world. Connectivity drives opportunity. Digital transformation fuels growth. Good governance at the @ITU matters — for connectivity, for innovation, and for everyone.

We must recognize a simple truth: throughout the region, many conflicts are fueled by the malign behavior of a single actor—the Islamic Republic of Iran—with political and financial support from certain members of the Security Council.

CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) is a European organization, to which the United States is an Observer and has made substantial multi-billion dollar investments over the years. @CERN operates the world's largest particle physics laboratory. Located on the Swiss-French border near Geneva, it uses massive, complex scientific instruments to accelerate subatomic particles to nearly the speed of light and smash them together to reveal the universe's fundamental building blocks. U.S. participation yields great returns for the U.S. Economy, Energy, and Research.  DAS Mills along with Dr. Christine Bertz, and Peri Farbstein participated in this visit to CERN.

While Iran brazenly violates its nuclear agreements and fires ballistic missiles at our allies, Russia and China are shielding them at the UN. Total obstruction.

Proud to welcome students from @Fresno_State, @okstate, and @GilmanProgram for a dynamic discussion on how U.S. leadership in multilateral institutions at the @UN in Vienna makes Americans safer, stronger, and more prosperous. From leading in space to tackling transnational drugs and crime to shaping the future of nuclear energy, the students' sharp questions and insights give us every reason to be optimistic about the next generation of global leaders. 🇺🇸
