Senior U.S. official Thomas DiNanno in Poland: Poland has not waited for others to secure its future. By any measure, Poland is a model US ally. This is NATO 3.0 in action. The United States will be making another $4 billion available in our foreign military financing program for Poland.

Today marks another historic chapter in the extraordinary history of the Polish Air Force. From the legendary Polish pilots who fought for freedom in the skies over Europe to the world-class airmen serving today, Poland has built a tradition of courage, excellence, and leadership that is respected throughout NATO. Today, that proud story enters a new era. These magnificent F-35s place the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft in the hands of Poland’s extraordinary Air Force—a powerful symbol of Poland’s growing strength, its commitment to collective defense, and the enduring partnership between the United States and Poland. Today, the United States sanctioned 13 individuals and entities in Iran, Belarus, and China, including Hong Kong, for supporting Iran’s weapons procurement, including efforts to acquire MANPADS.
