Our campaign was featured in @NewYorker, which highlights that amongst the difficulties and challenges at the British Museum, the prospect of the Parthenon Sculptures making a return to Athens “seems likelier than it has for two hundred years”.
The British Museum’s acquisition of the Elgin Marbles—which were removed from the Parthenon under the oversight of a Scottish nobleman two centuries ago—was controversial from the start. Greece has been demanding them back since the 1800s. Could it happen? nyer.cm/gNUGPq1

Our Chair, Lord @edvaizey, says "There's a big part of me that feels, if and when the sculptures were reunited in that setting, it would be one of those moments when people would say, almost immediately, 'Why did we wait so long?'"
