ALT A treehopper insect perched on a slanted green plant stem. The treehopper has a dark black head and two bulbous outgrowths, also dark black, extending backward above its wings, giving the treehopper a passing resemblance to ant. However, the treehopper has large translucent wings folded backward over its green abdomen, below the ant-mimicking parts.
