"We're talking about free food, but people still pay." Not financially, but in time, distance, and effort. Seattle's network of micropantries helps reduce barriers, but without clear data, it is difficult to see where and what support is needed most. seattletimes.com/seattle-new…

How much can curbside space change last-mile delivery in dense cities? @NYC_DOT is testing that question through a Microhub Pilot. In its first year, the pilot helped replace 3,000 truck trips on city streets and is "a gamechanger for urban delivery". nyc.gov/html/dot/html/pr2026…

How can transportation agencies use revenue tools to manage new mobility in public space? Our new report with @ECONorthwest @Cityfi for @NASEMTRB looks at fees, taxes, pricing strategies, and subsidies for ride-hailing, micromobility, and goods delivery: urbanfreightlab.com/publicat…

At Seattle’s @pike_place, pedestrians, residents, workers, deliveries, emergency access, and business activity all share a small, highly active civic space. We're working on a pilot with @seattledot to reduce vehicle access in core streets this summer. seattletimes.com/seattle-new…

.@pike_place is one of Seattle’s most active shared spaces. To better understand street access patterns, we're conducting short, anonymous visitor experience survey. If you’ve been to Pike Place Market recently, your perspective matters. Take the survey: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…

If you've walked through Seattle lately, you've probably seen one: a small box stocked with canned goods, snacks, and fresh produce. Micro-pantries are simple and community-powered, but they raise bigger questions about how cities move food, reduce waste, and support neighbors.

We're featured in #Ridwell's blog highlighting our @NSF-funded research on this micro-pantry network. Our interdisciplinary team is studying how these hyperlocal systems operate: how food moves through them, when they're used, and who needs them most. blog.ridwell.com/blog/micro-…

While ecommerce has transformed how we shop, new UFL research shows that the environmental cost of "next-day delivery" is not shared equally. “Increasing nationwide disparities in road freight emissions across cities,” is published in Nature Cities: nature.com/articles/s44284-0…
