On the night of March 7, a Russian missile struck a residential building, and one of the victims of the attack was Hordiy Udovychenko. He and his mother Olena were killed together. Young Hordiy played for the hockey team “Bilyi Bars” (White Leopard). Here is how the team responded to the death of the young athlete: “Hordiy was a sincere, kind, and open boy who loved hockey very much, as well as his team and training sessions. I am pleased to welcome the delegation of the Seimas of Lithuania to Kyiv, including Deputy Speaker @VCmilyte and Deputy Chair of the Seimas Committee @IngridaSimonyte. Lithuania has stood firmly with Ukraine since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion, consistently providing essential support. We particularly value Lithuania’s assistance to the energy sector: 349 humanitarian shipments totaling 5,900 tonnes, including hundreds of generators, thousands of solar panels, and other critical equipment. Lithuania also transferred dismantled equipment from the Vilnius Thermal Power Plant and the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant, which enabled the repair of damaged facilities and the restoration of heat and electricity supply after shelling. During the meeting, we discussed Ukraine’s energy priorities and urgent needs, including decentralization, strengthening protection, and expanding cogeneration. We highly appreciate Lithuania’s continued readiness to support these efforts. I am grateful to our Lithuanian partners for their visit and unwavering solidarity.
