Thanks to this old 1986 portfolio image from Mark Fisher posted by @thatsgoodweb, OVGA was able to identify and confirm with Mark that he illustrated the box art for Infocom’s Leather Goddesses of Phobos! Unfortunately the original art was never returned 😠

This is Jeanne. Jeanne was drawn after Bayonetta was decided, so the design style was made to contrast them. Jeanne is always red. Red is the best. Jeanne also cherishes her favorite gun, so she has the same one in all three games. She does change the charm. Bayonetta's mood changes, and she breaks it easily, so she has a different gun in each game. #BAYONETTA
