Anti-RNA polymerase III antibodies (ARA) prevalence and clinical associations in systemic sclerosis (SSc)
◦ The overall prevalence of ARA in SSc within the existing literature is 9%, but is variable.
◦ Meta-analysis confirmed associations of ARA with diffuse cutaneous subset (OR: 2.20), scleroderma renal crisis (OR: 7.82), and cancer (OR: 1.86).
◦ ARA's clinical phenotype also includes a higher risk of gastric antral vascular ectasia (OR: 2.70), heart involvement (OR: 1.93), joint manifestations (OR: 1.29), and interstitial lung disease (OR: 1.10).
