I'm thrilled to be recognized by @VTGradCommunity for my #LGBTQ equity & inclusion work! I've been working for years to address campus accessibility issues for trans folks & now we have several All-Gender Restrooms newly opened or under-construction at VT!! #TransInAcademia

Virginia Tech recieved funding to expand COVID testing!

Today, we announced two ways we are expanding #COVID19 testing capacity in Virginia:
1️⃣ New contracts with @virginia_tech, @uvahealthnews, and @sentarahealth will allow us to process up to 7,000 additional PCR tests per day.

The Market provides up to 75 students with enough fresh ingredients for seven days of meals and differs from hundreds of university programs nationwide in that it’s an online-driven system – providing more flexibility during COVID-19, but also helping to maintain student privacy.

To increase mental health support services, #VirginiaTech is in the process of embedding three counselors in the largest colleges, adding more positions in psychiatry at @CCCatVT in collaboration with a local psychiatric residency program, & more.
