"First of all, I thank you and your beautiful, meaningful message. As construction workers, we wear clothes that haven’t been taken down from dusty shelves; we work under rain or snow. We are builders. Unfortunately, some make comments—unintentionally or not—tinged with occupational discrimination or racism. Yet we don’t wear suits, ties, or shiny shoes; we stand ready like soldiers, compelled to rush to every task. But some, sitting at their keyboards, can’t even wipe the dust off them, while hurling insults at laborers working in tough conditions. They ask us, we admit what we don’t know—because learning isn’t shameful, but refusing to learn is. On behalf of all builders, I say: let them first clean the dust off their own keyboards. Our keyboard is our hands, our hearts, our eyes; our hammer, trowel, and shovel. We work tirelessly, regardless of time or hour, to bring happiness to people and earn a living. I extend my respect and regards to all professions worldwide."
