The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a direct response to Call to Action 80 from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, which called for a federal statutory day of commemoration. VCASE calls on our government to continue fulfilling of all the recommendations.

Watching a recent presentation by a survivor of exploitation, I was reminded of the many ways that traffickers and pimps exploit their victims, one of which is debt bondage, creating a financial tie to an abuser.
