English follows.  Des experts ont mis au jour de sérieuses allégations de travail forcé de prisonniers en Alabama par des constructeurs automobiles qui font affaire au Canada. J’ai interrogé là-dessus le représentant du gouvernement au Sénat, le sénateur Moreau, qui a rappelé que les lois dans ce domaine doivent être respectées. Rappelons que, dans la Loi contre le travail forcé que j’ai marrainée, les entreprises sont tenues de déclarer les risques d’esclavage moderne dans leur chaîne d’approvisionnement. Experts have uncovered serious allegations of forced labour involving prisoners in Alabama linked to automobile manufacturers that do business in Canada. I raised this issue with the Government Representative in the Senate, Senator Moreau, who reiterated that Canada's laws in this area must be respected. It is worth remembering that, under the Anti-Forced Labour Act that I sponsored, companies are required to report on the risks of modern slavery in their supply chains. @SenateCA @Prog_Senate @ArnoldViersen @A_Larouche_Shef @JohnMcKayLib @Safety_Canada @gary_srp
