This is really stupid, and it’s not getting enough attention. The Trump administration is pulling a working $368 million ocean monitoring system out of the water, equipment taxpayers already bought, built, and sank into the deep ocean. And they are doing it right when the oceans are behaving in ways that alarm the scientists who study them. Record-breaking temperatures. A system of Atlantic currents that may be lurching toward collapse. The response? Yank out the instruments and walk away. That is not budgeting. That is smashing the gauges while the engine is on fire and calling it efficiency. For what? The Trump administration dressed it up as a “nimbler approach” and “smart lifecycle management,” which is fancy nonsense for “we shut it off and hoped nobody would ask why.” There is no return-on-investment analysis. They cannot show taxpayers save a dime, because the gear is already paid for and the science it produces protects real money and real lives. The drought in western ND and the light pollution map line up well sometimes through the years. It would appear those flares are producing a HEAT ISLAND comparable to Chicago or LA or any major city in America! I have personally watched on radar and recorded storm systems dissipating as they travel over that "flare" region and then reform after it passes over. Heat Islands form in other parts of the world where they flare gas. 2 big examples are the Niger Delta and the Western Amazon! I will not forget October 5th, 2024! Greed killed people on that day! Greed has been killing people in that part of the country for years! I remember getting H2S gas in my basement bedroom and waking up to headaches for years in near Ray, ND in Western ND. The H2S was strong enough around there to cause massive die offs through the years. Whole valleys of birds would die sometimes from the H2S leaks into the air and our water and so forth! People actually died at the well as they worked on it! Like I said I will not forget that day and for sure GOD will not forget October 5th, 2024! How about June 20th, 2025? Anyone forgetting that day in Eastern ND? How about the record tornado year ND had starting on that day? Is anyone forgetting that?
