Of everything I have learned in streaming, it's this: You cannot be a friend to everyone online. You're setting yourself and them up for disappointment. Parasocial relationships get weird for a reason. You cannot extend yourself to everyone, nor depend on everyone.

Exactly! A lot of streamers viewership, chat rate, lurkers and overall analytics fluctuate so much. There are so many variables but some people just have to call it out unfortunately. Super rude. Personally I just remember to always enjoy what I am playing.

I know people who dropped a sub or a donation who could barely afford to pay for gas or groceries for the week. Their money could have gone to something else but they chose to give it to you!
They chose you! Always show gratitude when they sub, gift sub(s) or donate.

Keep in mind someone dropping 5 gifted could be an hour of work for them, if not more. Being grateful for someone subscribing to your channel themselves is something to be very proud of. People have their own lives and families to take care of.. yet they’ve chose to support you in anyway they CAN.

No streamer wants to see these kinds of comments. It's rude & can discourage the streamer. Imo, low viewership doesn't devalue the stream! I saw a streamer end stream the other day cuz chat wasn't moving as much as he'd like even tho people were there! Value people! Not numbers!

Promoting your stream by posting your link and saying your live mostly does nothing to get you noticed. Instead, write something you plan to do on your stream. Mention a goal you're trying to achieve. Write a prediction that you think is going to happen on your stream. Jot down what your streaming theme or discussion will be. Just put something down to draw others in to watching you!

One thing I've noticed by being a mod in a Twitch group on FB is that so many people are lazy when it comes to promoting their streams. They slap their links and tell us what they are streaming, but that's it. The creativity and effort are lacking, and that's really sad to see.

18 doesn't necessarily mean adult content/NSFW content or conversations. It could be due to profanity, mature or violent gameplay, having a drink on stream or just wanting to talk to an adult audience.
I think some people misunderstand what "18 " means
I'm not a lewdtuber.
I don't market myself as NSFW, and my content isn't centered around sexual content
My streams are 18 because they're made for adults.
I swear, I talk about adult life experiences, and I don't want the responsibility of creating content with minors in mind
If you're an adult, welcome.
If you're a minor, there are plenty of amazing creators making content specifically for you.

Growing as a streamer/content creator is different for everyone, a lot of people I see struggle with the fact that the growth process can take time. That don’t mean your doing anything wrong again it just takes time. Learn what works for you then hone your craft.
