Today, on #WorldElderAbuseAwarenessDay, we join the global community to observe the day under the theme: "Beyond Awareness: Making Elder Abuse Prevention Work." At PCAU, we believe that every older person deserves to live with dignity, respect, safety, and access to compassionate care. Palliative care reminds us that no one should experience neglect, abuse, pain, or suffering in silence. Together, let us create communities where older persons are heard, protected, and cared for with kindness.

There is absolutely nothing funny about a failing/failed relationship or marriage. I will never understand why people haunt and taunt a broken couple already dealing with mental exhaustion. Is the mockery meant to heal them? Let’s stop being cruel. You are laughing at someone at their absolute lowest. Let’s use this Sunday to reflect and do better.

Our team participated at the @TestandTreat37 Test and Treat Conference this week. We shared on the role of palliative care interventions in Secondary Disease Prevention through early detection, linkages and continuity to care. By integrating palliative care from diagnosis, we can reduce suffering and improve outcomes for patients and families. #PalliativeCareforAllinUganda
