Honestly, I’m getting fed up with people constantly reminding everyone that infantry still exists, tanks still roll, and combined arms remains paramount. The fact is: none of them can function effectively as of *now* without integrating drones into their operations.

Is it a revolution ? is it not ? Do we need to wait for AI to solve this ? In the end, it doesn't really matter, because as of now, the challenge is not addressed. Referencing "levée en masse" tastes quite bitterly in that regard. Élan never compensated for lack of artillery.

I would very much like that we at least engage or even master the basics of their production & employment before rushing to argue that nothing really changed. This actually requires to confront our established organisation & traditions. The Alliance is really doing good here.

I disagree. The Ukrainian offensive operations in Kupyansk and Zaporizhzhia from last fall and this winter demonstrated that offensive maneuver is possible even with brigades and regiments that only had a company-size element of infantry. In both cases, breakthroughs were possible if Ukraine had sufficient forces to exploit success. Proper planning, task organization, rehearsals, intelligence, and employment of fires/CUAS can set the conditions for successful offensive operations. UAS can enable, not only hinder, maneuver.
General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and current Ambassador to the UK: Due to scientific and technological progress, it has become impossible, regardless of what others may claim, to carry out operational-level tasks. 1/12

Passive defenses — bunkers, hardened shelters, dispersal — aren't glamorous. The Pentagon has underfunded them for decades. Now, with U.S. troops under fire in the Middle East, DoD is scrambling to find vendors who can ship prefabricated shelters within 30 days. 🧵

my god, please go read some Stephen Biddle. - Engagement is a more interesting variable than potential tank storage to estimate a balance of forces. - How can someone describe such a dramatic Russian advantage in means and conclude that technology didn't give Ukraine an edge ?
“Russia’s objectives seem reasonably compatible with its capabilities and trends on the battlefield. Ukraine’s objectives, in contrast, seem beyond its reach,” writes Michael Desch. fam.ag/4aXCg9m

- Why would old Cold War templates give an interesting appreciation of Ukrainian manpower needs on the frontline ? (and which part of the cold war?) And why a "rule of thumb" vibe analysis be taken seriously ? So many biases, unserious comparisons, it's fraudulent.

We are honoured to have our researchers' work cited by @KyivIndependent. While our team tracks data across all of Ukraine, we remain committed to documenting the "Human Safari" in Kherson Oblast and beyond. This work ensures that, when accountability for these war crimes arrives, those seeking justice will be armed with the data to render it.
Over 2025, 3,152 total civilian casualties, including 332 deaths, were recorded in Kherson Oblast, according to international open-source intelligence project Tochnyi, which has extensively tracked and mapped the human safari since it started. On the ground and in the air, Ukrainian soldiers, together with local authorities, work around the clock to protect the city from a threat never before seen in world history. kyivindependent.com/postcard…

For the ever-enduring Leclerc fleet to survive, please reveal the resting place of this sacred powerpack artifact so it may be reclaimed.
T-72M1 fitted with a derated Leclerc powerpack, a solution introduced by Wärtsilä France/SESM & Patria at Eurosatory ’98. The powertrain consisting of V8X-1000 and ESM 350, significantly enhanced the T-72 performance. Forward speed is increased to 71km/h, while 24km/h in reverse

1/ Ukrainian Summer Offensive: Assault on the russian hone front At @tochnyi we investigated Ukraine’s June–October 2025 deep-strike campaign, which represented a structured operational shift from tactical interdiction to systemic infrastructure targeting.
