I represent a significant Sikh population in my Stretford and Urmston constituency.
They contribute immensely to the fabric of the local area, do huge amounts for the community, both individually and collectively.
We cannot let the actions of a single individual diminish their contribution or stigmatise an entire faith.
I will always stand with the Sikh community in Redbridge, not because their Sikh, their religion is irrelevant to me, but because of how much they have contributed to the borough I live in. I have always found people who love and value Redbridge
Good and bad in every community
