I’m now hearing that National Guard troops are being sent home if they have “Pro-Constitution, or Pro-Trump” content on social media. Hope this isn’t true.

After seeing the map of the people who were being tracked by the Parler app in DC, I deleted the twatter off my phone, because I can pretty much be sure that app tracks the hell out of folks, too.

Replying to @nytimes
This is, literally, the most intellectually vacuous take on what happened on January 6 imaginable. As such, it is fitting it was published in the New York Times. Par for the course.

The mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol resembled, in fervor and style, the ragtag bands in Russia who clamored for the revival of the Soviet Union, Andrew Higgins writes from Moscow, down to the dress code and embrace of banners of seemingly lost causes. nyti.ms/3q02uPj

Good for @Forbes. Sow, I'd like you to meet Reap. "Let it be known to the business world: Hire any of Trump’s fellow fabulists above, and @Forbes will assume that everything your company or firm talks about is a lie".
Whoa. ⁦@Forbes⁩ chief content officer warns against hiring ⁦@kayleighmcenany⁩ ⁦or other prominent Trump flacks: “Hire any of Trump’s fellow fabulists above, and Forbes will assume that everything your company or firm talks about is a lie.” forbes.com/sites/randalllane…

Going to be hilarious when Trump starts using the national alert system to text every person in the nation who has a cell phone

Similar to my take. They aren't achieving control, they're flexing the totality of the might they've had for years. Big difference. The positive in this is they surrendered their highest card: their covert status. Yes, men like me and you knew, but most didn't. And that's big.
It's going to happen. TPTB won a Pyrrhic victory here. They may have flexed to get rid of a president they hated, but they spurred on the collapse of American soft power. Wouldn't shock me to see Russia/China helping some of these countries develop parallel infrastructure.
