#bospoli So @BostonSchools could have found external swing space for @SaveUrbanSci and @WR_Academy but opted not too in order to right size the district? From internal reports forced to be released by FOIA, BPS and @LPerille did not put the real facts on the table. @marty_walsh

WAIT! WHAT! @WR_Academy & @SaveUrbanSci students traumatized! Lies and promises are broken, 6 months of crying children! This is organizational child abuse! Teachers are mandated reporters, whose name at @BostonSchools do we put on the 51A! #BosPoli @BOSCityCouncil @AnnissaForBos

Here’s an idea- repair the building and give it back to the WREC! BPS could be on the side of equity. BPS go forth and do the right thing!

Have faith. I'm sure Mayor @Marty_Walsh will see the wisdom of finding @WR_Academy & @UrbanSciA swing spaces. No reason for those schools to have their students and teachers salted around the city. He is the one who will have to deal with the mess #BPS is making. #BosPoli @BTU66

.@BostonGlobe headline missed the real news. Mayor denies seat to the 1 BSC member not to vote 4 school closings. #bospoli

Boston schools being closed are majority students of color as well. 😞

Racism drives school closures. "Of the students who would be affected by the closures, 88% were black: 90% of the schools were majority black, and 71% had mostly black teachers – a big deal in a country where 84% of public school teachers are white." theguardian.com/us-news/2018…

👋🏽#BuildBPS This is how our district should approach facilities planning. Sharing the actual scenarios, instead of hypotheticals. Treating the community as an equal partner in the process. Being transparent about the goals, the costs and benefits.
CPS take note, this small school district in Colorado doing a fantastic job of inviting real community review, input, and follow up on facilities planning to improve accessibility, safety, & education accommodation. #ERSBnow @ILRaiseYourHand @RYHAction fowlertribune.com/news/20190…

No report is real. @BEAM4Educators Barbara Fields is persistent. @BostonSchools needs to post it online.Research indicates salting kids from closed schs is not in their best interest. Rm for @WR_Academy at Irving & @UrbanSciA can go to @ExcelHighSB without impact on those schools

This was a true shame. @ReginaMRobinson was all class and smarts and prioritized the needs of students above all else. Time for the residents of Boston to have an elected school committee like every other city and town in MA-- one that places student interests first!

Say it isn't so Mayor @Marty_Walsh. What company is coming in on June 30, 2018 and exactly what will they be doing?

Looking forward to speaking out tonight on behalf of ALL of our students, both current and future. Don’t wreck the WREC!
Hoping to see many folks at school committee tonight raising their voices to demand a better plan for WREC. The city has the resources to do better; we need to help our public officials find their moral courage this evening.
