It’s important to understand that for some women with #disability, they simply CAN’T leave. Particularly if the perpetrator is also their carer/support person. @QandA @WWDA_AU

Great question from @WWDACT CEO Kat Reed on the prevalence of violence against disabled women on tonight’s #QandA - we must count it!

🇦🇺 is pleased to offer strong support for the re-election of @RosemaryKayess - a powerful human rights advocate & esteemed academic - to the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (#CRPD). We seek the valuable support of states parties at 🗳️elections on 🗓️14 June.

Free tests should be available to people with disability, their families and workers. People will be eating into their current funding to do this. We support that RATs should be free and easily accessible for all people, so we ensure that we keep each other safe.
NDIS participants will be allowed to use their funds to buy rapid-antigen tests, minister Linda Reynolds has announced.

Stage Three Tax Cuts are costing the Budget $16b per annum, 2/3 are going to men in top 10%. We were already collecting 9th lowest revenue base amongst OECD countries. Second wealthiest country in world yet have 3 mill inc women & children in poverty & big gaps in care services
