I’m proud to deliver $1M in federal funding for the brave men and women of @WarwickFD, which the department is already using to buy newer, lighter, and safer equipment. This @DHSgov grant will expand training, protect the force, and improve public safety!

Do you already have a preparedness kit? You might need to make changes to your kit for keeping everyone safe during severe weather that threatens during the pandemic. Keep face coverings in your kit for you & your family; also keep disinfectants & soap for emergency use.

The Warwick Fire Department reminds everyone to have a working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector in your house. Don't become a victim of an avoidable tragedy during the holidays. Check your batteries.

#Christmas tree fires are much more likely to be deadly than most fires. Shorts in electrical lights or open flames from candles, lighters or matches start tree fires. Well-watered trees are not a problem. A dry and neglected tree can be. #HolidayFireSafety

Considering deep frying this year? Use your #turkey fryer only outdoors on a sturdy, level surface well away from things that can burn. Make sure to have a “3-foot kid-and pet-free zone” around your turkey fryer to protect against burn injuries. #ThanksgivingWeek

Take advantage of that extra hour this weekend by testing your smoke alarms and changing batteries as needed. Remember - if your smoke alarm was manufactured before Nov. 1, 2009, it needs to be replaced! #DaylightSavingTime
