It’s been 930 days since a comprehensive state budget was passed. Republicans failed to meet the budget deadline on July 1, 2025 leaving us the only state without one.
This isn’t normal and it’s not acceptable. Pass a budget. Now.

Republicans control the NC General Assembly and NC is the ONLY state in the country without a budget.
Instead of funding public schools or passing a full state budget, they chose to send $533 million in public money to private school vouchers.
87% of those vouchers are going to students who have never attended public schools.
This isn't an accident. It's a choice.
