I have also been using @perplexity_ai as my go-to search instead of Google for over a year as well. I asked what is the best William Tell screen adaptation and it just made up one with release date and director's name that is not even googlable as a name combination, let alone being a director. It just makes up numbers if I ask to list a movie franchise with numbers of IMDb votes just to check which part is the most popular. All those AI tools became absolutely pathetic and unusable.

We have @Grok in our telegram groupchat for over a year now and it has been a pretty steady decline in quality lately, it constantly hallucinates replies, lies that it checked them using web search (my friend programmed a lot of tools for him to use, inclusing this one), generates images that fail criteria given to him and every now and then it starts scolding us out of the blue for being intolerant in our thinking. AI is absolute trainwreck everywhere I see it, I don't care if Claude now can center a DIV.
