The US government has ordered @AnthropicAI to disable its most advanced models, (Fable 5 & Mythos 5), for all users worldwide to comply with an export control directive 🇺🇸🏴‍☠️ The stated reason: To restrict access by foreign nationals (including the company’s own employees) on national security grounds. This is a “deemed export” move. Sound familiar? It echoes the 1990s Crypto Wars ⚖️🔒Ξ
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Your @ensdomains name can now be a verifiable AI agent identity. Using ERC-8004, ENSIP-25, and ENSIP-26, an ENS name can advertise metadata, MCP endpoints, and agent capabilities that AI applications can discover and consume. We built a simple interface to make this easy 👇

ENS and .eth is one of most lindy things in crypto @ensdomains launched in May 2017, more than 9 years ago (an eternity in crypto). crazes in ICOs, NFTs, & memecoins have and gone, ENS has remained in that time it has gone from being an early Ethereum dapp to being integrated by GoDaddy, Google, Venmo, Brave, all the top crypto wallets; used by Congressmen, governments, celebrities, companies, etc it has survived and grown through multiple cycles and is still going strong onwards and upwards 🫡

oh you're bearish? meanwhile, the government of Turkey is hosting government documents on @ensdomains 🤯
A new step for verifiable public publishing Official publications are now accessible through a decentralized and verifiable web architecture. The Presidency’s Directorate of Communications has redefined the standards of digital sovereignty, transparency, and efficiency. Calling all ENS domainers: 🏆Grails has the best tools to manage your @ensdomains portfolio and extend all your names at once 👏 (and check if anyone has messaged you on Grails Chat, too!) - Select All button: select *all* the names of your portfolio at once, 10k name limit - Extend in any increment: days, weeks, months, or years, or select a Custom Date to match up their expiry to the same date - No app fees: no added fees for any of these actions No other ENS app enables all of this ⤴️ You can also Bulk Register, Bulk Search (up to 10k terms!), Bulk List, and other bulk actions. Plus Grails is great for watching and registering Premium names! Step by step instructions 1) Go to grails.app > Sign in > click My Profile 2) On the bottom right, click "Bulk Select" 3) Click "Select All" to select all the names of your portfolio, 10k name limit 👀 4) Click "Extend" 5) Select to Extend in any increment of days, weeks, months, or years, or select a Custom Date to match up their expiry to the same date 6) Submit the txn onchain

ApeFax.eth is acquired, and I hope it is not a scam. I honestly can not believe it. Like I said in my last post, my head was down, and I was working on getting the ApeFax business set up legally, and I completely blanked on getting the ENS. So tonight I jumped on to buy it --- low and behold it was already taken :( But who would do that....I should have known better, but the point is to build in public in hopes that people see value. Someone obviously took note and, for the first time, asked for nothing but gave me something... Was it a fairy godmother? I have no clue. But I shit you not, it was in an old Metamask account I don't use, but had access to. I checked all the settings were resolved to that old tx, and it was registered to me for a year. God works in mysterious ways, and whoever bot.ensfairy.eth is, thank you so much. I am humbled and blessed.

Got questions about ENSv2? Drop them below.👇 If pricing changes, multi-year discounts, and grace period changes (28-day grace 62 extra days of registration) pass, they'll kick in when v2 goes live.

ERC-7730 / Clear Signing is about "changing what we see" when we sign in crypto wallets: ✅ From gobbledygoo raw calldata → ✅ To readable transaction intent. ERC-7730 helps protocols "describe what a transaction is doing", (so wallets can **show users what they are actually signing**). This helps ENS! Clear Signing does **not** replace or compete with ENS. 1. ENS tells users **who / what** an address is. 2. ERC-7730 tells users **what they are about to do**. 3. Together, they make Ethereum transactions more "human-readable, safer, and more identity-native". That is net-positive for ENS...because it reinforces the same core thesis: ✅ Humans should not be forced to interact with "raw addresses, raw calldata, or unreadable machine outputs". ERC-7730 explicitly supports an `addressName` display format. The spec says an address can be displayed as a trusted name when a trusted source exists, (and it lists ENS as one of those sources). So instead of only seeing: "0xd8dA...6045" ...a wallet may be able to show: "vitalik.eth" That is ENS doing "what ENS does best": ✅ Making Ethereum more human-readable! How Clear Signing helps ENS: 1. Makes ENS more visible in wallet security flows 2. Encourages contracts and protocols to use ENS names 3. Makes ENS protocol transactions safer and easier to understand 4. Supports ENS as Web3 identity infrastructure Together, they move Ethereum away from "raw machine language" and closer to "human-readable identity, intent, and trust". ✅ ENS tells you **who/what** you are interacting with. ✅ ERC-7730 tells you **what action** you are signing. More info: eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-7…
0/ Clear signing is now live. An open standard to end blind signing, making human-readable transactions default. This effort brings a major UX and Security upgrade to transaction signing on Ethereum.

I am voting for this, due to many significant-positive changes, (with many benefits that help the users the overall/long-term ENS protocol health), such as: ✅ Long-term registrations get cheaper on a yearly basis. ✅ For 5 character names, committing for longer can make the effective annual price lower than today’s $5/year, (with a 6-year registration costing $4.50/year)!! ✅ For 3-character and 4-character names, the new multi-year discounts also make longer registrations meaningfully cheaper per year than they are now. ✅ 3-character and 4-character base prices do not increase, (so those categories only gain the benefit of discounts without a higher annual list price)!! ✅ The structure gives users a stronger incentive to lock in names for multiple years, (which should help reduce short-term churn and more speculative short-duration registrations)!! ✅ That longer-term incentive may also help reduce at least some forms of hoarding / “squatting”-like behavior, (especially the behavior based on cheap short-term holding). ✅ The discount applies to the entire transaction, (which makes the pricing easier to understand and more generous than a model where only extra years get discounted). ✅ The same discount structure applies to both new registrations and renewals, (which is simpler and more consistent)!! ✅ Existing holders get a one-time free 62-day extension at ENS v2 upgrade, (to offset the shorter grace period)!! ✅ That means current owners are not immediately losing renewal time from the grace-period change. ✅ The proposal creates a clearer incentive toward longer-term name ownership, (which can support more stable identity use and longer commitment). snapshot.org/#/s:ens.eth/pro…
