As someone who's spent the last 2 years building an app on top of WebTorrent, I just want to say thank you! It's such an awesome project and an example of genuine decentralization / actual engineering—not phony get-rich-quick token stuff.

Lot of teams use GUN WebTorrent ♥ @Feross.
GUN to sync the directory, magnet link, description, comments, etc. & WebTorrent to stream the video.

I am working with @marknadal to expand Gun's capabilities and build its DHT. Personally, I think Gun is the future. WT won't be going anywhere though. WT trackers are scarce and overloaded. But you can spin up your own: github.com/draeder/p2p-track…

An interesting parallel between my conversation with @pfrazee (runtimepodcast.com/#10) and @feross (runtimepodcast.com/#8) is the value of having a server in the loop in a p2p system.
