Thinking that all high school kids “should just know” how to upload, split screens, open tabs, etc, was a mistake. It was a good eye opener for me and I’ll be incorporating a week of lessons on building these type of computer skills for my students. 3/3

We were so eager and pressured to repackage our curriculum and delivery into something that would be effective online, but we forgot to consider the varying levels of proficiency with technology, both for students and parents. 2/3

Last night I gathered with a few cousins and their kids who are all doing distance learning. We all shared what was working and what wasn’t. The main take away for me was that I’m not too sure that we did enough to teach the technology. 1/3
