The Last Waltz opens the @DreaminaAI International Animation Conference (Studio Focus) at Annecy MIFA. A single image started this. Now it's the first thing you see. (Over the moon!) Thank you to the jury and to DreaminaAI for the platform. See you at the Studio Focus on June 23. If you're heading to @annecyfestival , I welcome the chance to connect.
Dreamina AI International Animation Conference Announcement of Honored Works Dreamina AI will host the Dreamina AI International Animation Conference (Studio Focus)on the 23rd June 2026, at the film market of Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Following a review process conducted by Dreamina together with an international jury panel, we selected a group of honored works from Dreamina's global open call. We are proud to bring these selected works to Dreamina's event at Annecy for screening and sharing, including three AI animation short films and one animation project. 3 selected AI animation short films: -Film name: Tanuki Dreamina Creators: Vienna Thurlbeck and Maria Haras (USA) Syposis: A woman experiencing an existential crisis is unexpectedly visited by an enigmatic neighbor who is more than she seems. Jury's Quote: 2D and 2.5D. Elegant work, with a Japanese tone. Nice movement and lighting, and gentle story telling about a shape-shifter, "yōkai". Beautiful color palette, with line drawings that take us into the fantasy world. -Film name: THE NOSE Dreamina Creator: Cláudio Sá (Portugal) Syposis: THE NOSE follows a status-conscious man who wakes to find his nose missing, only to discover it moving through the city as a higher-ranking official. Jury's Quote: What a great movie! The art direction of this film is amazing. And the story and characters are so unique and creative. The film really is a little masterpiece. -Film name: Waking Trip Dreamina Creator: Zhijian Cai (China) Syposis: Waking Trip constructs a profound visual allegory about the existential anxiety of modern people, tracing the entire journey of an urban office worker from deep slumber to full wakefulness. Jury's Quote: This film really blows me away. The story is about something we ALL go through every single morning. You really feel for the girl’s battle against the dreaded alarm clock. 1 selected AI animation project: Project name: The Last Waltz Dreamina Creators: C.E. Whitmore (USA) Syposis: Three hundred guests and a fortune in roses gather to witness the marriage of old money to older money. By eleven o'clock, the bride is dead. Jury's Quote: A single man piece, well written short in a Tim Burton's mood. Nice color palette, consistent character designs and animation. A singular look of the clouds achieved in the first sequence that could be developed. Looking forward to seeing it finished! #DreaminaAI #DreaminaatAnnecy #DreaminaSeedance2

Honored to share that The Last Waltz is a Finalist in the @dreamina_ai Animation International Summit at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Pink noir. A wedding. A murder. An unreliable narrator. I'll be at the Dreamina Summit on June 23. If you're at Annecy, let's connect.
I just submitted The Last Waltz as an animated project proposal to the @dreamina_ai open call at the 66th @annecyfestival. Thornfield Manor. April 15, 1948. Three hundred guests and a fortune in roses gather to witness the marriage of old money to older money. By eleven o'clock, the bride is dead. A mystery thriller told in pink noir with an unreliable narrator who guides the audience through a murder she helped set in motion. The entire film is built from AI-native illustration: Midjourney v7 for the keyframes, Seedance 2.0 for the motion, ElevenLabs for the voice, Suno for the score. One filmmaker, one pipeline, one vision. If it doesn't win, I finish it anyway — but Annecy would be a hell of a place to show what pink noir looks like in motion. Wish me luck. And thank you @dreamina_ai for the opportunity.

Cinema Shift said Egg belongs in "the conversation we're building around narrative cinema, authorship, and AI-assisted filmmaking." Official Selection. Harley couldn't be more proud. Screening June 5, Toronto. Hungry, wondrous, weird felt meerkats, processing the unknown.

The best part of any movie is always the beginning. It's where you feel all the hope and joy of what you're about to experience before it's crushed under a mountain of decisions you have to make. May the muse be with you.

No one gets by on looks alone. I require all my actors to audition and Margo passed with flying colors. Audition cue: Someone takes up two *parking spaces. (* this movie is not about parking) The Last Waltz

This place is at once both extremely depressing and incredibly inspiring. I love scrolling. I hate scrolling.

Two 6 second clips (using one image reference each) consumed 2000 credits. @krea_ai are you serious? 😂 I know compute is expensive but that's absurd.

So many talented creatives in this space.
Cool news! I’m officially attached as a producer on the upcoming live-action gothic western horror movie The Pines from GRIT Films. I’ll also be serving as Generative VFX Supervisor through my new company, @themagicengine.👇Previs trailer I created that helped land the gig. IMDb link below. More soon.

I saw the need for this last year and for the last six months, have been working on some version of this with Claude and agents. It's helped a lot but there's still quite a gap between what I need and what I can build. Ponder may be the next step in the creativity pipeline for solo creators and small teams. Beyond excited.
Introducing Ponder: the agentic video editor. It’s a new paradigm for filmmaking, where powerful creative agents and humans collaborate to tell world-class stories. We're also announcing our $2.5M pre-seed, led by Liu Jiang from Sunflower (@seedtosunflower), with @Joshuabrowder and @MattHartman. Joined by @levie (Box), @emerywells (Frame), @JaredLeto, @CommaCapital, the @nyuniversity venture fund, @cory, @darian314, @shiffman, and many more incredible founders, investors, and creators.

The Fourth Turning: Customer Review Rating: ⭐⭐ (2/10) Pros: Top-tier memes Free pass for getting out of minor social obligations Extreme character building Cons: Too much history happening at once. Pacing is terrible. Crumbling institutional trust. Much stress! Get Z hasn't fixed everything yet. High levels of anxiety; zero stars for economic subplot. Death. Lots of death. Always a bad time. No Epstein arrests.

How many times do you scream during a project? I'm currently at 13. I average about 19, maybe 20, so I'm, well ahead of schedule.

I’m especially excited about my next project. It’s a different kind of storytelling for me. And a different process.

I miss the good times.
Building momentum in 2005 with one of their defining anthems, “All These Things That I’ve Done” saw The Killers cement their rise, appearing on Hot Fuss, released June 2004. Captured here at Oxegen, the performance reflects the band’s soaring, stadium ready sound during their breakthrough era.

Claude 4.7 for CoWork is terrible. Claude 4.6 for CoWork is now only somewhat usable. Looking at local models with agents that can work with Obsidian. Has anyone tried Rowboat or similar models?
Anthropic just got punched in the face. ⚡️ This kills the idea of “paying for AI coworkers”: • 100% local (no data leaks) • Talks. Listens. Acts. • Works with ANY LLM • Agents running while you sleep • Builds its own brain over time Open-source. Free. And getting smarter every day. We’re not renting intelligence anymore. We own it.
