You may have noticed that @anigeluk is not organising this time (she deserves a rest after organising that fantastic National Homebrew Competition) she will be the Head judge, so we will still be benefiting from her taste buds as and experience on the big day.

Finally if anyone is interested in getting involved from a sponsorship perspective please let me know too and I'll get in contact! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

After checking with the UK National team about when to schedule the Welsh for 2023, it was clear that the UK National was not going to happen, so I've agreed to run the UK national instead of the Welsh to make sure the UK keeps going (Sarah)

NEWS FLASH: The UK National is back and will be taking place in February 2023. Start planning your beers and getting your brews on. We'll give you more details on exact dates and venue once we're confirmed those details but we're hopefully staying in Bristol.

Very troubling if true. Will be watching for further developments
I have it on good authority that HMRC are pursuing a home brewer for duty on beer that has been shared with friends, put into swaps or entered into comps. We know that homebrew must be domestically consumed, but this is worrying for the future of our hobby. What do you think?

Well done to all the Brewers placing in the @LABComps #LABOpen. Great competition and the @HammertonBrew tap room is well worth a visit too. 😁🏅🍻

It is with heavy heart I'm having to announce that the Welsh is not going to go ahead this year. In light of further delays in easing restrictions and growing concerns over safety with the new variant, I feel unable to ensure the safety of volunteers

Please accept my apologies, I know that many, myself included were really looking forward to being able to return to in person beer events and competitions.
I've checked with many of our regular judges and it looks like we will be running a Welsh National this year as long as we can do so safely and nothing changes. Aiming for mid September if we can confirm a venue. Hopefully opening registration late May / Early June.

So start thinking about what you want to enter, especially if it is a style that needs longer conditioning times. Looking forward to seeing you all, or your beers later on this year.
The way things are looking we may be able to run a Welsh in September. If you have previously judged with us, can you please let me know your thoughts on judging at an in person event in September so I can try and decide if we attempt to run the Welsh this year. Thanks

Pop over to Facebook where @tinyrebelbrewco are hosting a virtual brewery tour online at the moment. A great way to see the brewery we've hosted at the past few years facebook.com/tinyrebelbrewin…

2020 Comp update. I'm currently watching the #COVID19 situation and seeing how that develops before making a decision on the 2020 comp as that will affect both judges/volunteers and our hosts. Hoping to make a decision in 6-8 weeks time

once we have had a chance to see developments and to discuss it with volunteers and our hosts.
That's some flakey packaging there
If this is your packaging, miraculously your beer arrived in one piece
