Thinking tonight of Flight Lieutenant Percy Cyril Morgan DFM, of Letchworth, Hertfordshire, who took off into the night air on 5 June 1944 in support of the D-Day operation and never returned. Remember Him. #DDay #WW2 #hertfordshire

Yet another battlefield theft - there have been far too many on both #WW1 and #WW2 sites in recent years.
Unfortunately, the rumours are true. 51st Highland Div. monument Bréville ridge. Stolen! I have no words. #ww2 #Normandy @BattlefieldBen @sommecourt @WW2TV @militaryhistori @AndyAitcheson @almurray @James1940 @Barber1944

Final piece of the puzzle, thanks to a local authority. Off now to convince the #CWGC that a soldier who was classed as a deserter needs to be recognised. 20 years service. Awarded MM. Took his own life in 1941. NOT recognised by #CWGC. Needs to be changed and headstone erected.
