You don't play for percentages and efficiency stats, you play to kill the opponent and win.

He has Kobe #2 all time and says he would pick LeBron over Kobe to start a franchise because LeBron was more ready coming in. Pretty understandable I’m not mad at it.
Shaq says he would draft LeBron over Kobe to start a franchise “I’d probably go with [LeBron James] because Bron — and I know this is a Kobe [Bryant] comparison — Bron had it when he came in. It took Kobe two or three years to get it. Bron had it when he came in, so I’d probably go with Bron.” (Via nypost.com/2026/06/12/sports…)

“Kobe never shot 50% FG in his career Jordan did it 6 times.. he was so much more efficient” 🤡 • Number of times an All Star SG shot 50% FG in Michael Jordan’s era (1985-1996) 12x✅ • Number of times an All Star SG shot 50% FG in Kobe Bryant’s era (1997-2010) 0x❌ ———————————————————— I don’t think there would be any confusion why I choose those years specifically but just in case. Jordan’s first season was 1985 Kobe’s first season was 1997 (and I ended in 2010 because the “Kobe era” was the 2000s) Also no I didn’t count Jordan’s 6 seasons shooting 50% from the field, the 12 times were ALL OTHER SG’s.

Mentality wise & even skill wise no difference but Mike was just so much more athletic. Mike was quicker, faster and could jump higher. Watched “Meal Ticket” McDonalds Game doc yesterday and Chris Mullin said MJ was the best athlete he’d ever seen when he was at the game w/ him.

There’s no difference between Kobe and Jordan according to Tyrone Lue. Twitter wants me to think that SGA is better than Kobe though. Oh wait, and Tim Duncan was a better player than Kobe. Last one, LeBron is far and away better than Kobe. All lies.

Jordan would do the same he did in this era he did in the 90s. There’s no Kobe/Pau and the Lakers There’s no LeBron/Wade Heat/2016 Cavs There’s no Durant/Steph Warriors Jordan with Scottie is running through the Knicks and Wemby, Jokic and Murray, Ant and Randle, SGA and Thunder (who just got beat by Wemby). Honestly Jordan would dominate more in this era. There’s not even any real rim protectors. If we’re talking Jordan with the Bulls, Him and Scottie are abusing the rim and the boards, driving and kicking, you’ve never seen what these 2 would do to this era. It would be scary. And they have the stamina to keep up defensively with anyone and they can run around and they have the relentless tenacity to run these young tik tokers off the court. Cmon man.

Those Suns matchups were personal if modern social media was around back then Kobe dropping 50 on the “mvp” would’ve been a huge conversation, like this season Luka had the opportunity to destroy the Thunder and solidify a MVP case he just didn’t show up at all which killed it

This is why I miss Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy with Mike Breen. They always gave props to Kobe
Kobe averaged 32PPG in this series and you hear the media say almost nothing about it. Then he won back to back. The media talking heads literally don’t even talk about it when discussing players and their greatness. It’s always “But Kobe was inefficient”. They say everything to knock him down but never just celebrate his accomplishments like they do other superstars

The “MJ benefitted From Expansion” MYTH : Of all of the anti-MJ myths, ExPaNsIoN is easily the most braindead. I'm killing it once and for all: ·The Protection Rule: Teams could protect their Top 8 players. Only 9-12 got exposed which meant no team got meaningfully worse. Which 9-12 player changed the outcome of history? Which one stops the Bulls Dynasty? No one can answer this. · The Bulls Suffered the Most!: They lost BJ Armstrong – the best player across all 3 expansion drafts. No one ever mentions this. · The Same Exact Rules applied to Every Team - If other teams "supposedly" were weakened, then so were the Bulls. If MJ "supposedly" beat up on expansion teams, then so did everyone else. The Bulls weren't operating off a different set of rules. ·Existing Teams Got BETTER, not Worse - Now for the ugly truth.. Existing teams weaponized the Expansion Draft by dumping unwanted salaries and clearing cap space for free agents. The Knicks dumped Greg Anthony’s salary to eventually sign Allan Houston. The Blazers dumped Jerome Kersey’s salary to eventually sign Arvydas Sabonis. The Heat dumped John Salley’s salary to eventually sign Alonzo Mourning. The Knicks dumped Sidney Green and eventually absorbed Mo Cheek's contract. These teams got better, not worse! · The Win Inflation Myth: Existing teams didn’t just add 6 more wins vs expansion teams. Those expansion teams usually replaced another “bad” non-expansion team on the schedule - one bad team for another. However, even if you want to argue that teams inflated their win total, then that rule applied to everyone- not just MJ’s Bulls. All Boats rise. So go ahead... Explain to me how MJ benefitted from Expansion? I’ll wait...

Because he wasn't a superstar shot creator. Nerds like guys who average 18 PPG and 12 APG on 50/40/90, but a guy who scores 30 PPG on 45% with God tier shot creating ability is far more dangerous

youre gonna be the underdog when you constantly lose as the favorite. not sure how this is not common sense.
Every superstar who has been to the NBA Finals at least 4x since 1980 LeBron was an underdog 70% of the time, a true outlier. Jordan, Kobe, Durant, Curry were 100% favorites. LeBron is the only one to win multiple titles as a favorite and as an underdog.
