This afternoon I enjoyed a Civil War Skirmish staged by Colonel Edward Montagu’s Regiment of Foote at Wythenshawe Park recreating the besieging of 1643/4. Parliament’s forces were led by Lt. Colonel Duckinfield, whose statue is outside the venue I was installed in as High Sheriff
