A Maddux game is supposed to be about pitching to contact. Getting 15Ks in under 100 pitches is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in baseball.
Jacob Misiorowski just had the most strikeouts in a Maddux in recorded history.

The most insane pitching performance I have ever seen. Jacob Misiorowski allows 1 hit, faces the minimum and strikes out 15 on under 100 pitches There are no comparable starts in MLB history

The Milwaukee school choice program doesn’t “divert public dollars” to private schools. It is a purely state-funded program. And students in the voucher program get better results at a lower taxpayer cost.
Republicans like Tom Tiffany are defending their voucher scheme by pointing to MPS test scores. But how does diverting public dollars into private schools help our students? wpr.org/news/wisconsin-polic…

American politics has been degraded to the point that this is an acceptable statement from a gubernatorial candidate. Will there ever be a bottom?

Here we have @WPR also incorrectly referring to the federal school choice program as a “voucher” program. A voucher and a tax credit are not the same thing. Referring to it this way muddies the waters.

Calling a privately funded tax credit "voucher money" either shows a complete lack of understanding of the concept by the New York Times or is an intentionally misleading scare tactic.
Fixed it for you, @nytimes.

This ought to be a bipartisan issue. Minimum markup does nothing to protect small businesses and drives up costs for consumers.

this is shaping up to be the sort of profit-sharing extortion racket usually only pitched by loony Leftists. "giving back something to the public" should come in the form of useful products in the free marketplace, not neo-Marxist quasi-nationalization and wealth redistribution schemes. And will Bernie be carrying this bill for Trump in Congress? Sanders already pitched a variant of this idea, after all.
Present Trump on the national AI dividend this morning: 'I'm going to have meetings with the top twelve or fifteen executives very shortly. And we're talking about giving back something to the public. And if we do that the public will become very rich. The people in our country, because that's the kind of money we're talking about. And I think they'll do that. And I think it will make it very popular.'

Platner's win shows that Democrats have as little regard for character, civility and honesty as the GOP. We knew that but some Never Trump types didn't want to believe it. Stare into the abyss: We are all gripped by panic and our politicians will exploit that until we all demand that they stop.

Pulling out the rug from 30,000 kids — 1 in 4 of MKE’s students — to force them back into MPS, one of the nation’s most academically and financially distressed school districts, is neither “responsible” nor “the Wisconsin Way”, @TheOtherMandela.

Sad thing is most of this could be alleviated tomorrow if the tariffs were ended.
Inflation is so high that it's erasing all wage gains. Inflation: 4.2% in May for the past year Wage growth: 3.4% in May for the past year. Americans are getting squeezed financially. This isn't just "bad vibes" about the economy. There is real pain, especially for middle-class and lower-income households. It's tough because so many basic items are seeing sizable price increases: gas, electricity, food, medical care.

The disparity between top and bottom performing students continues to expand.
New NAEP results are out and it’s clear the bottom has fallen out for our lowest performing math students: The bottom 10% of students performed worse than any cohort of students on the history of the test going all the way back to the 1970s

There is some evidence in the new @NCTQ data that Act 20 is making a difference in teacher prep. Schools like UW-Superior have gone from an "F" to an "A " in teaching reading. But others-like Madison-have moved in the wrong direction since '23. Why? teacherquality.nctq.org/revi…
