I'm hoping what Yordan Alvarez does to baseballs is what the USMNT does to Paraguay tonight.

Absolutely can't be a good thing
Anyone ever seen interstate-induced clouds before? Low level CU developed perfectly along major interstates around Houston this morning. Kind of shocking to see such perfectly lined up clouds. #txwx

Thank goodness we just missed the BBQ cookoff. Y'all remember that drama?
The two Texans who were passengers on the cruise ship where a rare hantavirus outbreak occurred are Houston residents, KPRC reports, citing Houston health officials. Authorities previously confirmed that two Texans were on board the MV Hondius and had returned to the United States before the outbreak was identified. bit.ly/3QYsy07

Why do seniors have to pay for car insurance on a car that is paid off? If it's paid off, it should be paid off. Make their neighbors cover the cost of their insurance!

Working with Turner Construction Company, Gensler found that small co-living apartments could be developed for $123,300 to $238,700 each, including acquisition, design, construction, furnishing, and, where needed, seismic retrofitting. In all but one cityβ€”Houstonβ€”costs ranged from one-third to half the price of developing new traditional studio apartments, which often run $400,000 each in large, high-cost cities.

Really interesting hearing agencies talk about the upcoming World Cup matches in Houston and how they are doing a bunch of really good work to try to mitigate transportation challenges.

Traffic congestion has been expanding as people search for less congested times, and the lion in the room to me is how much shocking growth our metro area is expected to undergo over the next 20 years. Yeah, that's 10.7 million people by 2050. A nearly 50% increase.

So we're gnashing our teeth over a temporary traffic spike from 20k people/day in eado at fanfest and 80k at NRG for the game? We're treating this like a hurricane, but we're adding 300 new residents every day... for the next 25 years? 😬

Last week an 80 year old woman who killed an entire family with her SUV after driving 75mph the wrong way down a 25mph street and crashing into a bus stop was sentenced to probation. That family was waiting for the bus on their way to the zoo.
Police arrested and jailed a dad for adding stop signs and some paint to a dangerous intersection after his kid was nearly hit biking. Because this is America, where we don't jail drivers who kill families, we jail the people trying to prevent traffic deaths.
