I was out my mum & sister for lunch today when Sunday Times called about Peter Quinton phone message leak by time pub garden heard my angry response to reporter people were coming up to me offering buy us all drinks as they love Pen Farthing he is national Hero #OperationArk

Absolutely amazing news. For all @BWallaceMP 's stirring though it was never just about the animals, it was also a humanitarian mission and we won't give up until the @Nowzad staff & others that helped the UK forces etc in our time of need are also safe #rescuetherescuers

While Mia & I had a lovely run before work our thoughts are with @Nowzad @PenFarthing & @KSAnimalRescue trying to get their staff, dogs & cats out of Afghanistan. They both have the paperwork & the planes. Please let them pass #Taliban

This beggars belief @BWallaceMP - @nowzad have a cargo plane funded by us-the people of the UK-that can rescue people & animals. This is about rescuing them & doing the right thing. @BorisJohnson @10DowningStreet be the leader you need to be and get this sorted!

Fair play thank you @10DowningStreet @BorisJohnson for your support of #OperationArk & getting the @Nowzad staff & animals (and more citizens) to safety. Now all we need is to get them safely to the airport and for @POTUS @JoeBiden @VP @KamalaHarris to keep the air corridor open.

As part of the on-going archaeological dig at the site of our new Berwick hospital, we have found a medieval ceramic vessel in what used to be a waste pit. Waste pits such as these were a common part of medieval life as there were no council waste collections like today
