Tbh I’m getting a bit irked by all these “do these things if you want to be a great programmer” or “things you have to do to be successful” blogs.
I understand the sentiments but there isn’t “one path fits all” guide to being successful. And success is subjective 🙇♀️
The correct advice for anyone to land a great person:
1. Be you! A great other half will 💜 you for you & not want to change you.
2. Do not listen to people like @ZubyMusic.
Stop allowing jerks to ruin the culture you've built. A true leader knows how and when to make the decision to manage someone out. Your team will flourish when the bad apple is removed - no matter how "great" their skill set or domain expertise is. Don't tolerate jerks. Ever.
