Türkiye’nin kendi birikimini ve deneyimini dünyayla paylaşması, hatta dünya politikasına yön vermesi gerektiğine inananlardanım. Bu inançla, 2 yıl önce Küresel Isınma ile Mücadele Eden Kadın Siyasetçiler Platformu’nu (WPGW) kurduk. Amacımız; dünyanın dört bir yanındaki parlamentolardan, hangi partiden olursa olsun, iklim krizi konusunda duyarlı kadın siyasetçileri bir araya getirmek, aralarında güçlü bir iş birliği oluşturmak ve daha etkili politikaların önünü açmaktı. Ve bugün… Gurur duyduğumuz bir ana tanıklık ettik. Dünyanın farklı ülkelerinden kadın parlamenterler, WPGW’nin İstanbul'daki iklim panelinde buluşarak, geleceği nasıl şekillendireceğimizi birlikte konuştular. Bu sadece bir toplantı değildi. Bu, ortak aklın, cesaretin ve umudun bir araya geldiği bir başlangıçtı. Katkı sunan, emek veren, inanan ekip üyelerim Kübra Ceviz Sanalan, Duygu Alan ve Buse Karaca’ya çok teşekkür ediyorum .
