Grain Farmers of Ontario attended the @HOPAports and Parrish & Heimbecker Open House today. A big thank you to @ParrishHeimbeck for the hospitality and taking the time to show us the behind-the-scenes of what makes P&H so successful! #OntAg

We've got what appears to be a very pre-Christmas break council agenda in Fort Erie tonight. Follow along if you're feeling frosty.

It's been a year since my last story for Niagara this Week was published. I wasn't sure what the future had in store when I went on vacation to England, but when I returned I had no job, 13 years gone in a blink.

For fun, here's the story that was my last for NTW. I hardly went out with a bang, but nevertheless @gamru240 is still a cool org with kick ass volunteers. niagarathisweek.com/news/gri…

Support your local news outlets so people like me can watch hours of council meetings a week and write about the whacky things your municipal politicians get up to.

"We will be a good neighbour we will protect our border, but that we will not be pushed around." Partisan stuff aside, this is how Canada's parliamentarians should be approaching our current situation. youtube.com/watch?v=v0SAfA_z…

I'm glad they tried to land Ohtani and Soto, but now I hope the front office is more ready to pivot to other options than they were last year. There's still potential to put together a competitive team for next year and beyond.
The staggering sums commanded by Juan Soto in free agency would have been a barrier-to-entry for the Blue Jays in years past. Now that it's not, the onus is on the front office to not just bid for elite talents, but find ways to land them, too. sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/fai…

Like everyone else, we're in a holding pattern for the strike. Should it end in the next couple weeks we'll get copies of the paper to CP for delivery. If not, we'll reassess.
