Writers, please explain to me why Grammarly has a seething spitting hatred for the word 'actually'.
I can mostly reason out the Why's for most of its corrections, but WHAT'S WRONG with 'Actually'??!😭💀
Writers of Twitter! Please help me!
Can I use 'mightying' (mighty ing) as a word? IS IT a legit word?
I'm sure I've heard someone once use it.
Eg:
'He sat still, waiting to be moved by mightying answers only.'
OR:
'He sat still, immovable - waiting only, for mightying answers.'
I can't find answers on the internet because I'm too dumb to know if it's being used as a verb or adjective or what all else. I ain't a grammar guru. Internet is talking to me about progressive verbs?? I think I'm googling all wrong.
Writing is a labour of love for me.
But after 18 years of working on the same series, I now allow myself to call it 'work'.
This is work. Real hard wuuuurk people. Cannot wait to clock off!
Who else struggles to write synopses?
Been writing my series for 18 years & counting. Finally having a go at writing the synopsis for book 1... &... I'm blank.
Fuck knows what my book is about😅
It's been in my head for too long. It's the size of the universe & it's impossible!
The pitfall of taking 18 years to write a 7book series:
By the time you get to edit it properly, you've grown and matured so much that you realise just how much your early stuff is in desperate need of a complete OVERHAUL!🥴
When your mom is neurotic.
And you leave her a message to tell her that you broke your arm.
And she hits panic mode and phones you at a flying rate of 21 missed calls in one hour.
And then you tell her 'Happy April Fools'😁
...Yes, I got called a 'little shit'😂
Someone may or may not be getting a new car on Monday.
It may or may not be me.
In other news, I'm planning a 10 day roadtrip around the UK, do you think a Skoda Fabia will look pretty cool driving off into the sunset?😁
Cannot wait!!! 😍
Finished editing, proofreading and formatting my 2nd book in my series🤩 Time to find a field and run wild in it, screaming and laughing my head off!😅
I did it. I finally did it. Just 5 more books to go🤯
If you've read the first two hilarious 'Six Idiots' books you'll be pleased to learn the final book of the trilogy is out now 😁
If you haven't read them, now's the perfect time to get yourself a threesome on Amazon 😊 😂
Moving on to proofreading the last chapter of my 2nd book and then I take a peek at book 3 and decide 'oh actually the 1st chptr there can be the last chptr here, & last chptr here can be the 1st chptr there'
I'm supposed to be proofreading, not rearranging the plot🤯omg
