15mb gaussian splat generated from a single Midjourney image running extremely smooth on the web. 2026 will be the year for world models.

almost at the point where we can just speak an experience into existence. Fable is amazing. But for iterating design ideas I think it's still a bit slow, went back to GPT 5.5 to finish building this. Environment generated with World Labs. full multiplayer if you want to try↓

Had some initial problems with combining everything together (some tests below) with collider mesh, gaussian splats and shadows. But Fable was able to solve it!

Millions of Gaussian splats, rendered directly in the browser. For ICARE, the creative team designed and iterated 7 worlds with Marble, then streamed them in real time using Spark 2.0 and Three.js Here's how the pipeline works β†“πŸ§΅

We turned dreams into worlds. Then filled them with history's greatest minds. Not a video. A world, running directly in your browser. Step inside ↓

World Labs CEO Dr. Fei-Fei Li: "The world is not made of words." "Language models have given machines an extraordinary command of concepts, vocabulary, and reasoning, but the physical world, virtual or real, runs on a different substrate." "Where language models learn the statistical structure of text, world models learn the statistical structure of space and time: how light falls on a surface, how a garden looks from an angle no camera has captured, how objects respond to force and follow the laws of physics." "Language gave machines a way to talk about that world. World models are how machines will finally come to understand, imagine, reason and interact with it." Full piece: drfeifei.substack.com/p/a-fu…

In the world of spatial intelligence, many things are being called "world models" today. They are not the same thing. New essay from us @theworldlabs team: a functional taxonomy of what's being built, what each piece is for, and where the field is converging. A great read.

Really cool seeing this on the quest in mixed reality. I put together a quick demo using WebXR (Three.js), Spark (LoD), and Danny’s raspberry Gaussian splat capture.
A Raspberry. 90 stacks, 68 photos each. 2.37M splats. #3dgs

Built using: 🌎@theworldlabs πŸ’»@cursor_ai (GPT 5.5) 😎WebXR (@threejs @sparkjsdev) More info about how I captured my living room as a gaussian splat here. Also used world labs to create the mini world. x.com/theworldlabs/status/20…

Capture your space. Create worlds. Use Marble 1.1 to reconstruct real-world locations from a few images, then restyle them however you want. Go from a real place to a custom persistent 3D world in minutes.

The interesting part of persistent World Models isn’t just continuity. It’s that creators start thinking about atmosphere, composition, and spatial feeling instead of isolated frames. Feels much closer to crafting a place. Built this w/ World Labs GPT 5.5 Three.js β˜€οΈπŸƒπŸ±

Summer vibes β˜€οΈπŸƒπŸ± Built with Marble, Spark, and Three.js. Persistent World Models let you design for cohesive spaces instead of isolated frames. World Jam ends this weekend! There’s still time to build something magical with Marble. More info πŸ‘‡
