The game is won and lost on the spreadsheets. Always remember that.

He deleted all the tweets before I could get this fact off. Blue Jays in his arbitrary time frame: 0-3 against the AL Central in playoff series #noticing
What an oddly specific and useless data point.

Won a series in the Rogers Centre. Man, that’s a heck of a road trip for the Yankees.

Ben Rice had been in the longest slump of his season to date. Had no barrels in the month of the June. Not anymore. Go-ahead two-run moonshot in the ninth.

Jake Bird is a guy I’m fine optioning for Yovanny Cruz at this point.

Probably Will Warren’s toughest outing of the year or close to it. Just didn’t have much of anything going for him today in terms of whiffs. Far too many baserunners. Jays have always seen him well, so not surprising.

Replies are a doozy. $4 million dollars and people were freaking out.
First baseman Paul Goldschmidt and the New York Yankees are finalizing a one-year contract, sources tell ESPN. Goldschmidt, 38, returns to the Yankees after hitting .274/.328/.403 for them last season.

Impressive shot in a full count off a Gausman splitter. Just want to see him stay healthy 🙏

Added a Draft Mode to my Process App, following the recent buzz around such game modes. Still a work in progress with some things, but it’s there if you want to give it a run. 🔗 — tbeckmann.shinyapps.io/mlbpr…

Stanton (who knows?)*
Yankees will have to walk a tight rope this summer. Currently down: Aaron Judge (August at the earliest) Giancarlo Stanton (1-2 weeks?) Trent Grisham (who knows?) Max Fried (August at the earliest?) Austin Wells (1-2 weeks?)

Some losses in baseball are dumb. That’s one of them. Weathers and Bird soiled it for the Yankees. Mainly the two homers. Offense had 7 hits and 7 walks. Dropped five on Yesavage. Hopefully Grisham’s injury isn’t super serious and need Cam to be a stabilizer tomorrow.
Fernando Cruz giving up a run on an 80 mph, 35 degree LA double. This has been a hell of a game.

Trent Grisham has been the Yankees’ best hitter this month. Naturally, he gets hurt running to second after a two-RBI knock.
