These words are earthy, honest, and oh, so uncomfortable. @BenSasse is reflecting about the things people used to know instinctively but modern life keeps teaching us to forget. That dinners matter, that time is slipping, that identity is fragile when untethered from grace, that love lives in ordinary rituals. I don’t know that I’ve ever read anything that made me want to rearrange my entire life overnight. Not out of guilt but out of clarity. About time. About family. About grace. About the terrifying speed of childhood and the danger of confusing productivity with purpose. He’s a living sermon with dirt under its nails. He is being profoundly and unapologetically human for all to see. I feel this in my bones.
