Moufida Tlatli (1947 - 2021), the Tunisian director, is seen by many as the first female Arab filmmaker to achieve global acclaim. Her 1994 Film 'The Silence of the Palace' won several international awards including at Cannes. What's your favourite of her films? #TunisianCinema

The Titanic sub billionaire rescue mission is entering final hours of hope to find survivors. Meanwhile in Italy & Greece, search & rescue to save people at sea is criminalised. Pia Klemp is among those facing jail for rescuing migrants #r4today #FreePia morningstaronline.co.uk/node…

I like to listen to the occasional true crime podcast once in a while and I find myself reacting to it like a Tunisian grandma muttering expressions like: "yikebb sa3dou" "ya 9atel errou7 win trou7", "ellotf rabi yoltef bina", etc.

Every pride month Arab queers & allies remember this beautiful soul in the hope that one day we can put all the pain and injustice behind us. Rest in power Sarah Hegazi.

Israeli innovation is everywhere, whether you know it or not. In fact you’re using it RIGHT NOW! :) When anti-Israel activist are calling for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction (BDS) of Israel and Israeli goods, what does that really mean? CAN you even boycot everything and anything Israeli? The answer is no. Israel is a tiny country, but its contributions are massive. From health and medicine to technology and food, we simply can’t live without Israeli ingenuity. Here are a few things we all use everyday that came from Israel: Waze, drip irrigation, Intel chips in iPhones and other devices, email software, usb drives, and even cherry tomatoes. Comment below with your favorite things that came from Israel to show BDS activists how necessary Israel is in our lives. And how antisemitic they are 😉 #BDSisBS #Israel #IsraeliProducts #SupportIsrael #BuyFromIsrael #IsraelSavesLives #IsraeliGoods #StandWithIsrael

#Tunisie

In my recluse (avoiding reality & society & working on my wordle skills) phase and I just finished Bridgerton & started watching Queen Charlotte. Stupid takes that I feel I have to share for some reason:

1- Bridgerton: is basically Gossip Girl doing an English BA. 2- Queen Charlotte: so happy for Catelyn Stark that she made it through a wedding without having her head chopped off.
