As Carers Week, the annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, comes to an end, we're sharing some of our resources that anyone supporting a person living with young onset dementia may find useful.
The Young Dementia Network website has a Resources section which contains a range of resources for people affected by young onset dementia as well as professionals, service providers, commissioners and service developers.

Dementia Community has opened the Call for Presentations for the 20th UK Dementia Congress 2026 being held on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th November 2026 at Doncaster Racecourse.
Proposals are welcome for presentations on all aspects of #dementia care in all settings and from the diverse perspectives of everyone involved. The submission deadline is Monday 15th June 2026.

A researcher at University of the West of England is starting a research project focused on improving support for people after a dementia diagnosis.
They are setting up a group for people living with young onset dementia who are willing to share their thoughts and ideas to help shape and develop a new 'LivDem' course.

It's not too late to get involved with Operation Ouch! 📹
The team is hoping to film a family in which a parent or grandparent is living with dementia and where a child or young person aged 7-15, who has a relationship with them, would feel comfortable sharing their experience on camera.
In particular, they would love to hear from families from ethnic minority backgrounds.

A new group has been set up in Essex to address a gap in support for younger people with #dementia. 👥
The Young Minds Dementia Group meets weekly on Thursdays from 2.30-4.30pm at the Stroke and Wellness Centre, 85 Frinton Road, Holland-on-Sea, Essex CO15 5UH.
