Cai Hongsen, a Malaysian student at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), has spent seven years in China, growing from an undergraduate to a PhD candidate. Along the way, he chose UIBE three times — for his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral studies. Beyond the classroom, he has connected businesses across borders, co-founded a consulting company, rebuilt the international alumni association, and helped create a platform supporting international youth innovation. For Cai, studying in China is about more than earning a degree. It is about exploring opportunities, building connections, and discovering your place in the world through action. “Don't stay only on campus. Step out, explore what inspires you, and see where it leads. Just go for it — the world will give you the answers.” #TheySay #StudyInChina #UIBE

Yuki Lau Zhi Jun, a fourth-generation Malaysian Chinese, is an international student at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She came to study in China to find the cultural roots deeply embedded in her bloodline. A hundred years ago, her ancestors left Quanzhou, Fujian, for Southeast Asia, expressing their deep longing for their homeland through songs. A century later, she traveled the opposite route — back to her ancestors’ motherland. Here, she truly felt the source of the resilient, enduring spirit passed down through generations. At Guangzhou Haizhu National Wetland Park, international students from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies stepped into a "nature classroom" in the heart of the city. Located on the central axis of this mega-city, Haizhu Wetland is home to nearly 2,000 species of birds, insects, and plants. It's not just a wildlife sanctuary, but also an open ecology classroom. As they walked, tropical plants came into view, and flocks of egrets and herons circled above the bird island. "Protecting nature isn't the responsibility of any single country or organization— it's a mission for every resident of this planet," the students said.
